Geometric Pattern Area Rugs
I purchased Irene Ruiz's "Fire in the Sky" rug several years ago. My rug is not thin and is placed in a high traffic section of my living room. I live in the Pacific Northwest and Irene's rug has stood up to dirt and grime from four sets of dirty boots on rainy days. The rainy season lasts a very long time in the Northwestern United States. All I need to do is vacuum the rug and the brilliant beautiful colors shine through. I would recommend this rug to anyone who wants to purchase beauty, quality and durability. The only maintenance I have done to the rug is retie the white fringe knots. I have had to retie the knotted fringe on any of the wool and or cotton/wool blend rugs I have purchased from other countries. That is not exceptional maintenance. Novica sells quality products at reasonable prices. Irene Ruiz weaves quality rugs.
I love this rug! I have runners and other colorful Mexican textiles under lamps, on furniture, and under my television, and this Zapotec rug by Alberto Ruiz and his wife provides the integration of all the many pieces...It is spectacular! Thank you to Alberto and your su esposa... Norm Meshriy
