Very special bedspread
Love the way this natural bedspread looks on our king carved mesquite bed. Neutral color allows me to dress bed with pillows and throws of different colors at different times of year.
My Favorite Bed Cover Ever!
This lovely blanket is even better than I hoped. The quality is exceptional, it is plenty big to cover our king sized bed and it brightens up the room perfectly. Carmen Ruiz is such a talented artist! Thank you, Carmen and Novica.

Kantha Cotton Bedspread and Shams in Seaglass (3 Piece), "Kantha Charm in Turquoise"$199
Indian artisan Anil Khandelwal uses lively printed motifs resembling patchwork to create a vibrant bedspread set. Finished with a contrast running kantha stitch all over. The bedspread features seaglass blue shades that reverse from printed to solid teal. Comes with two matching pillow shams. Decorative mandala pillows and bolster are sold separately.
India Hand Stitched Cotton Block Print Quilt and 2 Shams Set, "Bombay Toile"
Designed by Shashi Sehgal, this lovely set of bed linens tells a story of ancient life in India. Herders guided their flocks to graze in lush grasslands bordering the Thar Desert. For coverlets, the women created quilts of layered fabric, stitched by hand in a technique known as -making or hand quilting. This set of quilt and two pillow shams is created in the same way of cotton voile.
The quilt is reversible and the motifs are created with block prints, applied by hand in blue on ivory. One side depicts foliage and flowers in a pattern named "Cool March," for chilly evenings in early spring. On the reverse side as well as the shams, neat rows of flowers represent the unbroken lineage of tradition handed down over generations. Finished with piping, the edges are scalloped and the stitching is done by hand.
A zipper at the bottom of the shams opens them to insert the cushions.
Artisan Crafted 100% Cotton Colorful Striped Blanket (King), "Zapotec Sunset"$209.99

India Handmade Block Print Cotton Duvet Cover and Shams, "Rajasthani Remembrance"$206.10
It can take up to three weeks to complete the laborious handmade process of textile printing. Dozens of hand-carved blocks are used to stamp a resist paste onto the cloth, which is then dyed and laid in the sun to dry. The longer the dye sets, the more vibrant the color. Then the cloth is washed to remove the resist, and the process begins again with a different block pattern. All told it can take 30 separate steps to achieve the intricate floral and geometric patterns for which ajrak is known. The traditional color palette of crimson red, indigo blue, and white on this all-cotton duvet cover is said to represent the universe: red for the earth, white for clouds, and blue for the sky, the universe itself. Two matching pillow shams complete the set.
