Absolutely beautiful addition to my room! The detailed craftsman is just amazing! I can feel the love put into making this gorgeous piece! I highly recommend shopping on Novica and giving a chance for artists in far away places to share their artistic gifts with the world. Everything is not only handmade but so well made too!
My favorite stool.
Its a perfect little stool for resting my feet or sitting on when I am working on something close to the ground. Excellent workmanship.
I use this foot rest every day!
This stool is a really great addition to my living room. Not only does it look amazing but it is also very functional. I use it every day while sitting in my recliner. It has a few wear marks on it but it just gives it character. I didnt buy it for looks alone but I have received many compliments about this piece. I love it!

Women working in textile studios in Rajasthan embroider and hand-bead the vintage fabric that adorns this colorful footstool, designed by Ganpat Mehta. Removable acacia wood legs make it easy to store, but a piece this versatile is likely to always find a use. Try it as a footstool, low table, or even extra seating at a party. Each footstool uses upcycled textiles in blue-green tones, but the unique materials ensure that no two designs will be exactly alike.

Now in his 80s, Peruvian master artisan Wilfredo Rios has no plan to retire. “My art is my life,” he says, and we’re proud to offer this example of his remarkable leatherwork. Made of mohena wood and richly hand-tooled leather with a grape and bird motif and brass nailheads, its design is inspired by intricate saddlework of the colonial era.
