African wood and jute mask, 'Baule Gbekre II'

By Dan Dolan
Magnificent monkey business!
Large, well made. Unique piece and a great addition to my collection. Artist is very talented. One down side, you have to rig your own way to hang. Would be better with a wire or hanger screwed into the inside of mask.
African wood mask, 'Orange Adoo'

By Roberta
Simple but eye-catching
My sister and her husband collect ethnic masks, and this one is unlike any they have. I liked that its so narrow, which should make it easy to find a place for it. Also, their other masks are mostly bare wood, and the color on this gives it more of a presence, even though its smaller than their other pieces.
