A young female potter sits on an overturned basin, awaiting prospective clients. Artist Alex Mensah of Ghana calls her Sister Ama; "Ama" is the name given to girl children born on a Saturday in the Akan tribe. The painting is rendered in a soft earthtone palette of acrylic paints and "aciduro", a local pigment made from nails.
