Cascades of cultured freshwater pearls dyed black, and reflecting deep blues and purples, give the illusion of a waterfall at night in this handcrafted statement necklace designed by Matta of Thailand. Hand wrapped in black nylon thread, each strand alternates the cultured pearls with smaller, round, faceted black glass beads. At the center of the necklace, the strands are gradually longer, creating a substantial V of cultured pearls and beads. The necklace has a silver-plated brass clasp and extender chain that allows the length to be adjusted.
