"My inspiration comes from nature, flora and fauna. The breathtaking landscapes in the morning sun and our clear night skies make my imagination soar and help me develop my designs."
"I'm Edgar Ttica Bautista and I was born in Cuzco in 1978. I am honest, punctual and responsible in creating high quality jewelry.
"When I was a boy, my parents alternated between crafting jewelry in their workshop, planting crops and raising livestock. I spent my time watching and helping out in any way I could, and this is how my love for silverwork was born.
"Thanks to my parents' efforts, I was able to finish school and continued learning. It wasn't easy to set up my own workshop. It was a huge responsibility and took a lot of time, effort and dedication. My family was a great help and we worked as a team to develop our ideas.
"At first, I didn't have materials. I wasn't very knowledgeable, I didn't know how to use my tools correctly and I initially messed up many pieces. I asked for a lot of loans, and this helped give me the strength to take up the challenge and learn. I took jewelry and design classes and workshops. I had to train myself to hone the talent in my hands through practice.
"The desire and the pleasure of taking my art far led me to give it my best effort. I'm honored to have been born in this beautiful city and be part of a thousand year old culture. I try to transmit this through my designs so they can shine on their own. In this way, you can take a piece of Peru's history with you.
"My inspiration comes from nature, flora and fauna. The breathtaking landscapes in the morning sun and our clear night skies make my imagination soar and help me develop my designs.
"I use silver, gold and gemstones to make my jewelry elegant and unique. I love sophistication, along with feminine and minimalist designs that show that less is more.
"I hope to be known as a well known Andean jewelry designer along with my family and offer the best jewelry I can create. I want the world to know that a lot of talent and art exists in Cuzco's jewelry."
