Cute Andean Musicians Hand Crafted Ornaments (Set of 3), "Musical Ties"

"When I was a child growing up in Lima, I used to spend a lot of time with a family member who was an artist. I loved looking at his drawings and paintings and I finally convinced him to teach me. Eventually I studied graphic design, which I absolutely loved.

"Through working with colors I discovered I had access to a whole world of expression, creativity and innovation, especially since our cultural roots inspired me.

"My mother has always been good at handcrafts and she was once invited to show her work at an arts fair. I went along with her and brought five Andean dolls I had just made a few days before. We were amazed at the reception those dolls got and the orders we received for them. This was such a boost for me – it motivated me to develop more designs and search for points of sale.

"I developed the designs at home and looked for colorful fabrics in nearby stores. I slowly connected with stores who were interested in my creations, and as soon as they sold out I'm craft more. They were greatly accepted and happily orders began pouring in.

"Branching out on my own wasn't easy at first. I went through many changes and innovations to create new models based on customers' feedback.

"I am still working from home and I've improved procedures, adapted the working area and standardized materials. We work with different Andean style fabrics and quality fibers for the filling.

"There's four of us working together, each one in charge of different parts of the process. We learn from each other and encourage each other.

"What inspires me to develop this type of art is a desire to be free, to create and innovate by playing with colors and achieving harmony. To me, the most important quality is to preserve our high quality and the presentation of products to fulfill our clients."
