India's Ganpat Mehta presents this extraordinary foot stool in green and grey hues. Centered by a florid mandala, the lavish composition is embroidered by women artisans in Rajasthan. Iron rivets secure the cotton seat on the stool with mango wood legs, which are removable.
Ganpat has steadily grown his workshop. He specializes in small furnishings focusing on contemporary pieces that incorporate traditional Indian designs and textiles. He has people who collaborate in his workshop and employs additional artisans who work from their homes.

The colors in this stool match my bedroom perfectly. I love the size. It can be used for meditating. The detail in the stitching is unbelievable, just beautifully done. It's pretty and interesting to look at. I would buy again from this artist. I consider it a treasure.

This is the only poor review I've ever given a Novica product/artist. The colors are lovely and the embroidery is nice so I will give it 2 stars. For basically $100 this is poor quality. Bottom line it needs more stuffing and this is a problem considering the cost. The material puckers on multiple sides because there is not enough stuffing. At those places you can push down and feel the bottom board. The stuffing is the cheapest part and this is inexcusable given the price

"In fact, I dream of opening a school to train younger generations in all the different kinds of Indian handcrafts so that these tradition may stay alive."
