Depicting a Balinese temple, this pair of bookends is created by Wayan Nuliati. She hand-carves the temple from two pieces of suar wood, featuring a stunning, intricate level of detail that displays the artisan's dedication. The bookends are crafted in the shape of Gapura, a special gate that only allows those of good spirit to enter.

"This is now a cherished heirloom."
I was very pleased when this arrived so carefully packed. The carving is meticulous and intricate--beautifully done. It has been placed in a central position in my dining room and I will be pleased to tell my guests that it came from Indonesia and was hand carved by a woman.

"Family heirloom"
Detail & craftsmanship are excellent ! Perfect size. I hung it in the entryway of my home and everyone that comes in compliments it ! Great work Wyan, love it !!!

"Magnificent workmanship"
