Details

This nativity scene by Jose Canil Ramos combines the strength of faith with traditional Guatemalan arts. Baby Jesus is welcomed by Mary and Joseph, as well as the archangel Gabriel, the Three Wise Men wearing golden crowns, and a donkey and cow. Ramos carves each figurine by hand from pinewood that was weathered and dried during the summer months. The characters' florid orange robes and green cloaks are painted by hand. Featuring 10 pieces with protective felt on the bottom, this nativity scene preserves a tradition that was brought to Guatemala in 1649.

Joseph's hand with staff and Gabriel's wings are removable.

"Heirloom quality"

While I am not Christian, I appreciate a well-mad nativity scene. The colors are appealing and the design beautiful. These sold very quickly in my retail store, while many other nativity sets are still here after December 25th.

I love ""Paxot Holy Family"" for the beauty of the painting of the figures. It is a centrepiece at Christmas.

I adore my St. Francis Statue. I have it displayed in my work office and several people have commented on it. One way to gently share faith. Thank you.
