Details

After carding the wool and coloring it with natural dyes, Alfredo Ruiz weaves this large heavy rug. He finds inspiration in the stars that appear as the sunset sky turns into night over the Oaxaca sierra. Like many in his family, Ruiz weaves the red and blue rug on a traditional pedal loom.

"Perfect for our living room"

We've been looking for just the right accent rug for our rustic mountain home in Colorado. This rug is beautiful and we couldn't be happier with it. It's rich colors and happy feel are perfect. We love it!

Sian

I recently made my first Novica purchase, one of Alfredo's runners... it is so beautiful, it really exceeded my expectations and we're already looking at other designs to buy for the rest of the house. The workmanship, quality and richness of the rug is a delight.
