This pair of handcrafted dangle earrings presented by Rocío Elizalde of Mexico resembles elegant lace doilies. The intricate details of the jewelry are formed with black cotton thread using the tatting technique. The lightweight earrings hang from high polish sterling silver hooks.

This is a perfect example of the Beautiful lost art of Tatting. This Artist does a great job!! Lace Doilies were Tatted throughout pre and Victorian times with shuttle with a tiny hook, not many people do this kind of artwork these days. My Grandmother used to Tatt my Barbie Doll Clothes, dresses, caps, sweaters, I loved so much, they were very cute for a 1960's look. I crocheted mine to match my dolls. It's very much in style these days. Sturdy string yarn. Very Retro!
