Handcrafted Sterling Silver and Onyx Turtle Dangle Earrings, "Turtle Delight"

I'm from Delhi, the capital city of India but I was born in Jaipur, Rajasthan. I am self-motivated, hard-working, creative and passionate about work.

I come from a family of gold jewelers in Jaipur, and I also married into a reputable family of gold jewelers who've been based in Delhi since the early 1970s. I've been inspired by my mother from childhood. She was my greatest source of inspiration and taught me how to create jewelry, and how gemstones are set and used to design fancy and traditional jewelry.

I'm just a simple housewife and, though I've always been fascinated by the art of jewelry, I never got to actually be in this field until few years back. I am blessed with a beautiful daughter and son who urged and encouraged me to exhibit my talent to the whole world. They want me to transform my childhood hobby into my passion and share my creative talent with others.

I wish to create unique, attractive and beautiful designs. I want to spread happiness and a feeling of pride in the life of every woman all over the world. I carefully study the tastes and preferences of the people around me, and design jewelry to suit their choice, infusing my designs with style and tradition. Every person has different tastes so, at times, it's difficult to satisfy the needs of everyone. But we try our best to bring happiness to others' faces.

We are a team of four and have a small workshop where we have started creating silver jewelry with semi-precious gemstones. I do the designing along with my daughter. My son does all the operational activities and my team helps to craft the designs. We work with sterling silver and different kinds of semi-precious gemstones along with pearls. We procure materials locally and create with our ideas and thoughts.

I wish to expand my journey in this craft world, and also expand my team of artisans. It will provide them employment so that they can earn a decent livelihood, educate their children and live a comfortable life. I want to create a name for myself and grow in this art form. As the saying goes, it's never too late to fulfill your passion, so here I am, living my childhood dream which was hidden deep within me. I am thankful to you for giving me a platform to exhibit my creative talent to the whole world.
