"For me, jewelry art is everything, my great love, my passion. It's what I do and love to do. If I can do this my whole life, I will."
"I was born January 16, 1954 at the end of the world – a long, narrow strip of earth called Chile. I grew up in Talca, south of the capital, where I studied through high school. After that, I moved to Concepción and then to Santiago. But I fell in love with a man from Peru and left everything – my family and my country – to live in Lima, the city of kings, where I am very happy.
"From childhood, I was attracted to the arts. I liked to paint, and ballet was my passion. Moreover, today I continue studying art history and this inspired me to take up jewelry and its beautiful designs.
"As time went by, I began expressing my artistic ideas in silver. Besides, I was in Peru, the perfect place to learn from the best. The creativity and skills of Lima's jewelry artisans is undeniable and renowned everywhere.
"I began as a pastime and eventually studied jewelry. Since then, I haven't stopped for a moment. I was fascinated. That was in 1993, and every day I like it more. I never imagined I'd enjoy this art so much but it brings me so much satisfaction.
"I feel that my jewelry provides a way of communicating, of sharing the best of me with others. It's a way of reaching out through what I find most beautiful and harmonious.
"I'm not interested in being just another mediocre artisan – I strive for excellence in materials, design and in the finished piece of jewelry. I want to create something new, distinctive, modern and fun. This is what I want to offer, not just more of the same, and this motivates my creativity.
"For me, jewelry art is everything, my great love, my passion. It's what I do and love to do. If I can do this my whole life, I will.
"I've worked with gold, silver and bull's horn. All are wonderful and noble materials because of their malleability and beauty. Have you ever seen anything trendier, more sophisticated and fun than jewelry of bull's horn combined with silver?
"Fortunately, other people think like I do so I've been able to show my designs in several art galleries in Santiago de Chile and also in Lima.
"I want to thank you for your support. When you wear them, please enjoy my designs."
