Details

Chief Carver Nana Frimpong honors Ashanti traditions with the design of this regal stool. He carves it by hand with sublime artistic finesse from mahogany, its noble grain ideal for the symbolic meaning of the design. It is centered by the Nyansa po or wisdom knot from the collection of Adinkra symbols. Especially revered by the Akan people, Nyansa po conveys the idea that a wise person has the ability to choose the best means to attain a goal. On the seat, Biribi wo soro is a reminder that God dwells in the heavens and therefore symbolizes hope.

This piece is so stunning. Being from Africa I really love and admire the beautiful wood work from these talented artisans. The first one I received arrived broken but Novica immediately put in a replacement order as soon I informed them. Second one arrived perfectly. Thank you for such a beautiful item and for the wonderful customer service.
