In Hindu cosmology, the god of war rides a peacock. Beautiful and proud, Kartikeya’s peacock mount represents his power to conquer earthly desires—even the peacock’s well-deserved ego. The woven pattern of this beautiful hand-loomed shawl resembles peacock feathers, and the fiery red-orange interior shines through the dark blues, greens, and blacks with a slight ombré effect. Similar in style to a Peruvian ruana, this wrap can be worn as a layering piece when a day at the museum turns into a night of strolling unfamiliar streets. It is also a perfect personal throw for home or travel.

"New Favorite"

I am delighted with my wrap. It works beautifully with either a skirt or with pants or jeans. Because it is reversible I can either use it as a blue or a rust colored accent.

"Beautiful, But NOT WOOL - Very Thin (See Through)"

This is a beautiful wrap. It is extremely thin and not suited for use outdoors in the winter. I do not believe there is any wool in it at all. Mine arrived after a long back order and it is so thin, you can see through it. I am keeping it because it so so pretty, but it is OVERPRICED for what you are getting. Its essentially a scarf and should be around $30-$50.

"My new evening wrap"

Very lightweight and just amazing, such beauty in a wrap. I wore it to the theater the other evening and was stopped by a number of people who wanted to tell me just how nice it was and it is. I love it and will enjoy wearing it often when out on the town. It is my new evening wrap. Wonderful quality, beautifully made.

I just today received this (10/23/18) and it is as pictured in the catalog...beautiful! It IS all wool...and it has the smell of real wool. Perfect for cool summer or spring days. Drapes nicely. I will get a lot of use out of this.
