“I am Laryea Justin, born in Accra, the heart of Ghana. I am described by friends as easygoing, unassuming and very creative. At a very tender age I lost my dad, but it didn't deter me from achieving my dreams. As a full-time artist who discovered my talent right from the time I started to write, I was encouraged to push myself more in the art field with the support of my family.
“I enrolled at the ultimate school of art in Accra and distinguished myself, earning not just a diploma but also the admiration of my mates and instructors throughout my training. With hard work and motivation from great artists, I have come of age as an outstanding artist. I am looking for an opportunity to excel in the national and international art arena. I have done many paintings, most of which have found space on the walls of local and international art galleries and homes in Accra and abroad. I am a member of the Ghana Association of Visual Artists (GAVA).
“I work with acrylic on card and canvas. I believe the sky is the limit for any well-motivated person. With the love for my art and the desire to succeed, I can only see greatness in the future. I derive my inspiration from the natural environment around me and all the people in it, especially women and their activities.”
