"I feel most at peace when I know God is watching me and giving me his blessings. Therefore, I always want to be close to him."
"I'm Dody Tri Haryanto. I was born in 1964 in Yogyakarta, a wonderful city of education, art, and culture.
"My parents were farmers, and I'm the third of their ten children. I was a happy boy along with my siblings, as we lived in a big house in the middle of our rice field. Even today, I love going to the village, as the culture and atmosphere still warm my heart.
"At the age of 18, I started working as a freelancer. So far, I have experience in animations, gardening, statuette carvings and, of course, painting.
"I've been painting since I graduated from the Institute of Visual Arts of Yogyakarta.
"I am married to Siti Zulaichah, a religious teacher who teaches at the local place of prayer. We have three beautiful children who brighten our days.
"The hard thing of being an artist is that our work doesn't sell every day. We depend on people's tastes and interests, which needs luck and more luck.
"I combine different vibrant colors in my art work that I hope you will enjoy. It's wonderful to be able to show my paintings internationally through Novica.
"I have my own quote — 'Time is like a sword. If you are unable to control it, it can slice you, leaving you wounded for long.'
"In my opinion, my country is special because of the religions that get along in harmony, and the never-ending natural beauty that can be found.
"I feel most at peace when I know God is watching me and giving me his blessings. Therefore, I always want to be close to him."
