Roy Nilson designs a Day of the Dead jewelry collection in honor of José Guadalupe Posada, renowned author, journalist and political cartoonist (1852-1913). He is credited for popularizing the Day of the Dead celebrations, especially through the creation of skeletal cartoons that capture the Mexican attitude towards death. The most renowned of these are Catrin and Catrina. Their names mean "dapper," and they reflect the fashions of the times. Nilson recreates the smart-looking couple with sterling silver earrings that exude comedic elegance.
.925 Sterling silver.
