Details

Inson Wongsam taunts visual perception with surreal images that are charged with suggestive meaning. "When we see something or someone that is similar to something or someone else, we have to look it more carefully. Within similarities there are always differences," reflects the Thai artist. "The ate table mushroom is similar to the poisonous one. A bird without legs seems to be not important, yet it can still fly. A person who looks at us with a smile isn't necessarily sending good will. We have to take a look at the similarities very carefully. If not, we won't be able to see the differences that could even cost us our lives."
