White Abstract Acrylic on Painting with Gye Nyame Symbol, "Silent Walk"
Artist Enoch Afram of Ghana highlights the Adinkra gye nyame symbol, meaning "except God," in this elongated abstract painting inspired by his own design. Colorful shapes and upcycled fabrics adhered to the card stock create several points of interest. In one vignette, a man stands under a palm tree. The painting is surrounded by a wooden frame adorned with embossed aluminum.
