A swirling diagonal in warm shades of green reveals an intricate motif of graceful parihuana birds. They meet and entwine in a tapestry by Zosimo Laura. Carefully combining colors, he creates this design on a handloom, laying each strand individually across the warp, or vertical threads. The piece is finished with hand-knotted fringe.
Titled "Parihuanas I" in Spanish.
The colors on this tapestry are even more brilliant in person. Really 'pops' a wall or hang over a stair railing for a more intimate look - very colorful.
