Glowing like embers, this rug depicts the traditional Zapotec diamond motif. Cool paths of blue lead across the fiery fields. Woven on the handloom, this rug exemplifies the craftsmanship of the Ruiz Bazán Family. The artisans use virgin wool to create masterpieces with the essence of their culture.

"Lovely RUST colored rug"

It is not crimson, as its name says. Rather, it's a bright rust/orange. I don't see crimson or red anywhere on it. --- That said, it is a lovely thick woven rug with bold colors & patterns. Thicker than I was expecting (which is good). It is so nice, I would have given it 5 stars if it was as described in the ad. I found a different place for it in my home than I'd planned for the crimson one.

"Zapotec Wool Runner"

I am so pleased with this rug. It is placed in front of a dark green Southwest-style sideboard and is a perfect complement to my Mexican folk art collection on the sideboard. The colors are lovely, the weave tight and the length is just right. A big thank you to the Ruiz Bazan family.

"Vibrant Colors"

A hand woven, vibrantly colored little rug that is aptly named for the Mexican sun. This is affordable art that is good for the soul. The Bazan family keeps up a tradition that could very well be gone in another generation. I love that I can associate my little treasures from Novica with real people.
