"In 1984, I graduated with a degree in textile design and, since then, there was no looking back. I'd always been a creative child but my education in textile design brought me to the world of art and design, and encouraged me to pursue my passion.
"My parents never thought I would go this far with my art, but after my marriage my husband supported me a lot.
"Although I was creative since childhood, it was my education in textile designing, brought me to the world of creation and encouraged me to pursue my passion. My husband and two sons have been the pillars of support in my life. Even when my work was not well paid, they stood by me and encouraged me to continue working towards my interests and abilities.

"I take ideas from trending arts and use my imagination to create newer designs. I believe that the key to success is experience and, for that, I also try to learn as much as I can from the artisans who collaborate with me. They come from different states of the country.
"The only time I feel challenged is when I create a design in my head but I am not able to bring it to reality. But my work has kept us alive in a metropolitan city like Delhi."
