Through sinuous images and fragmented color, Tete Lacerda explores the chaos and confusion of modern life when the world seems to collapse. The images appear from different vantage points. "Seek alternative roads to reach that secret in the middle of those alternations – that may be simple or confused – which are a part of life," the artist says. This painting won a gold medal in the I Salão de Artes Plásticas da Casa da Paraíba / Clube Naval, Rio de Janeiro in 2000.
