"Today's woman needs styles that are casual, yet elegant, and the concept inspired this design," says Guatemala's Luisa Villavicencio. "Because it's made with soft, natural fibers, it's lightweight and cozy." The trendy cardigan sweater is knitted of cotton in a combination of jade and ivory, with a wide collar that continues as a border down the front and hem. It is open in front.
The Villavicencio family cultivates cotton in several natural colors – jade, ixcaco (cocoa) and ivory, or crude cotton. In fact, people are surprised to learn that no dyes are used. The family is involved in the entire process, from growing the cotton, to weaving it and transforming it into apparel.
This will be my favorite go-to sweater. It feels and looks wonderful on and I love that it's green cotton. I've ordered the scarf and wooden scarf holder that it's shown with and cannot wait for it's arrival. Lovely and classy! Thank you, Luisa!
