This symbolizes my family heritage.
This is something I ll pass on to my grandchildren. The paternal line in my family traces back to the Akan people of Ghana. The mask is perfect!
I purchased three amazing masks for an art wall and this is one of the amzing masks that I chose. I was so impressed when I received it - true to the on-line pictures and perfect for what I had envisioned!!! Thank you Novica and the wonderful artists who helped create this work of art!
Wonderful Addition to our Mask Collection
This is a great product that we added to a collection of masks on our bedroom wall. We began collecting masks during a trip to South Africa in 2001. The mask is well made and the details are very well done. The product was fairly priced.

Authentic Hand Beaded Huichol Mask, "Blue Eagle"$207.99
With a patience characteristic of the Huichol people, the hands of Higinio Hernandez transform tiny beads into beautiful and glossy motifs adhered to a paper mache base. The result is a veritable explosion of color, replete with symbols sacred to the Huichol culture. A must for lovers of the truly rich culture of Mexico. (peyote) is the centerpiece of Huichol ritualism, revered for its curative properties and its ability to enlighten the one who partakes of it. Higinio Hernandez and his family preserve their cultural heritage through expressive bead art, representing essential Huichol symbols like (peyote), (deer), (eagle) and (corn). For these ornaments, each brilliant bead is affixed by hand to a unisel base, the resulting symmetry defying standards of patience and concentration.
Care instructions: To prevent the tiny chaquira beads from coming loose, do not expose this piece to direct heat or light as it may melt the Campeche beeswax adhesive.
